WE tv Announce New Unscripted Series “Bold & Bougie”

WE tv has announced a new unscripted series called Bold & Bougie. The show follows a group of extraordinary and fearless women who reject societal expectations and age limitations. Instead, they embrace their individuality and empower each other to live life to the fullest.

The series is produced by Carlos King’s Kingdom Reign Entertainment and features personalities such as Malaysia Pargo, Tameka Foster, Gocha Hawkins, Princess Banton-Lofters, and Crystal Smith. Bold & Bougie is currently in production and will premiere next year exclusively on WE tv and sister streamer ALLBLK.

The women of Bold & Bougie have always supported others, and now it’s their turn to be the center of attention. The show explores their journey as they form an unbreakable sisterhood and navigate love, loss, and hangovers. Each hour-long episode showcases their vibrant personalities and zest for life as they celebrate milestones. However, the sisterhood also faces challenges. Each woman deals with unique struggles and triumphs, including career aspirations and personal relationships. Some must mend strained relationships, while others rely on each other during both the highs and lows of their journeys. Their common mission is to change the narrative and challenge the perceptions others have of them. They aim to prove that women can have it all without compromise, whether it’s embracing the maternal relationship or breaking free from the chains of marriage.

Bold & Bougie is a celebration of life, friendship, and the power of self-discovery. It aims to capture raw and authentic moments as these courageous women break free from societal constraints and embrace their true potential.

Meet The Cast

Malaysia Pargo is an entrepreneur and mother of three who recently went through a public divorce from former NBA player Jannero Pargo. She is known for her appearances on reality TV shows and has struggled with protecting others’ feelings at the expense of her own. However, she has had a wake-up call and is no longer willing to be silenced.

Tameka Foster is a wardrobe stylist, podcaster, author, and mother who is embracing her soon-to-be empty nester life. After ending her marriage to R&B legend Usher, she is ready to make changes and pursue the things she put off while focusing on motherhood.

Gocha Hawkins is a restauranteur, mother of two, and grandmother of four. She has overcome trauma and spent time in prison in her early 20s. She is now a self-made millionaire and lives her life unfiltered and unapologetically with her wife.

Princess Banton-Lofters is a successful Talent Scout, Television Producer, business owner, and mother. She is on a quest to receive the recognition she deserves and step out of the shadows she has cast for others.

Crystal Smith is a restaurant owner and single mother of three who recently went through a difficult divorce from singer songwriter Ne-Yo. She is now focused on embracing her wild side and pursuing her own happiness.

The show “Bold & Bougie” is produced by Kingdom Reign Entertainment, with CEO King serving as Executive Producer. Rajah Ahmed is the VP of Current & Alternative Content and Co-EP, and Brent Nisbett is the Showrunner. Angela Molloy, SVP Development & Original Production, Unscripted, and Noella Charles, VP Development & Original Production, Unscripted, are the Executive Producers for WE tv.
