CBeebies Bedtime Stories New Stories for 11-15 December

CBeebies presents a week of brand new Bedtime Stories from celebrity readers Jennie McAlpine, J.B. Gill, Mark Bonnar, Suranne Jones, and Baroness Floella Benjamin, OBE.

On Monday, actor and Children’s TV presenter Floella Benjamin reads a story about how, when you love someone, you stand by them no matter what happens. This celebration of unconditional love, I’ll Never Let You Go, is written by by Smriti Prasadam-Halls and illustrated by Alison Brown.

On Tuesday, Jennie McAlpine (Coronation Street) tells a tale about loving what we have when she reads I Don’t Want Curly Hair! by Laura Ellen Anderson. All Curly Haired Girl has ever wanted is straight and luscious locks, but when she meets a little girl with the smoothest, silkiest hair, who says all she’s ever wanted is spirally, squiggly hair, they are both confused!

On Wednesday, former JLS star and TV presenter JB Gill reads Ah-Choo! by Suzanne Lang. JB, who also presents the CBeebies series Down On The Farm, tells the story of a brother and sister who are trying to find the perfect family pet but everything they bring into the house makes the little girl sneeze.

On Thursday, Mark Bonnar (Shetland, Line Of Duty) introduces little ones to a fearless blue penguin in Rob Biddulph’s story Blown Away! It’s a windy day and Penguin Blue has a brand new kite but where’s he going on this maiden flight?

On Friday, Suranne Jones (Dr Foster, pictured above) tells the story of Princess Ellie who is left in charge of a magical snowflake machine which malfunctions. Suranne reads The Snowflake Mistake written by Lou Treleaven and illustrated by Maddie Frost.

CBeebies Bedtime Stories airs Monday 11 December to Friday 15 December 2017 from 6.50pm-7.00pm on CBeebies.
