Timewasters Series One Finale airs Mon 6 Nov on ITV2

Scifi sitcom Timewasters concludes with the series finale airing on Monday 6 November at 10.00pm on ITV2. The show follows the fortunes of a modern-day jazz quartet from south London who find themselves transported back in time to the 1920s via a squalid tower block lift.

Having had limited success in the 21st century, the four band members – Nick, Lauren, Horace and Jason – find their niche in the London jazz scene of 1926. However they discover that life as a black person in the jazz age is a lot less genteel and a lot shadier than Downton Abbey had led them to believe.

In the final episode, the time machine has finally been fixed so it is time to head home – or is it? Nick feels he has not made the most of his time in the roaring twenties, a situation he rectifies at the band’s farewell party. During the gathering, he meets a beautiful French woman called Nicola and the pair disappear off together. The next morning, Nick is hungover, in love and married. Jason declares his real feelings for Victoria, but how will she react?

Lauren is stockpiling as much vintage stuff as she can get her hands on, determined to take it all back to the present day, and Horace is looking after a desperately ill Curtis.
