Family (BBC One 1994, Sean McGinley, Ger Ryan)

Drama Family was written by Roddy Doyle who at the time was riding high thanks to movie version of The Commitments based on his novel. This 4 part La Ronde style serial depicted, in bleak style, the break up of a Dublin family with each episode focusing on a different family member.

Family was also an early work for director Michael Winterbottom and featured an original soundtrack by Elvis Costello.
