In two part period drama The Final Passage a Caribbean couple, Leila and Michael, make the journey to a new life by moving to England in 1958. Hoping to find a home for themselves the couple find their environment not as easy as they imagined.
Caryl Phillips wrote the script from her own novel which had been published in 1985. The Final Passage was also a rare directorial outing for theatre legend Peter Hall.
