In Fugitive, the second episode of Park Ranger, there is a major drama when young convict Tommy working in a prison gang on the park makes a break for it.
He manages to steal some clothes and takes a room at the Jackson’s (as well as running a vet’s practice Margaret also take sin boarders). He quickly makes himself very useful with looking after the horses.
When Katie sees a news bulletin about Tommy’s escape he takes her hostage. Luckily Paul has also seen Tommy’s face, he and David call the police but mount their own rescue attempt in the meantime.
Fugitive makes it plain that Park Ranger is very much an action led series. Even the off screen action is tense as vet Margaret has a potential anthrax outbreak on her hands.
