Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs (ITV 2 Nov 2017)
Paul O’Grady is back at Battersea Dogs and Cats home as the new series of his awardwinning programme continues. Comedian and dog-lover Paul meets more of Battersea’s residents and follows them on their journey to finding new homes. The series is packed with canine capers, laughter and some heartbreaking moments, as Paul and the staff at Battersea care for the abandoned animals.
Some of the dogs he has helped so far in the series include, an overweight sharpei cross who Paul helped get into shape, a pair of aged labradors whose strong bond means they cannot stand to be apart, and a tiny Yorkshire terrier called Wilma who Paul fell head over heels for.
In this week’s episode, Paul meets some dogs who have a variety of issues. A pair of geriatric labradors have become so close that they cannot be parted, even for a second. Paul also meets a staffy who cannot stand being left alone and a tiny puppy with anti-social behaviour problems. Will Paul and the Battersea team be able to turn the canine delinquent into an upstanding citizen – or is he a lost cause?
Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs airs Thursday 2 November 2017 from 8.30pm on ITV.
