Harry O: APB Harry Orwell (ABC 6 Nov 1975, with Lesley Ann Warren)

In APB Harry Orwell somebody is posing as Harry and frames him for murder. With all evidence pointing to him Trench has no option but to arrest him. Harry has an alibi for the time of the murder but the potential client he was seeing, Gail Stennis, is unwilling to come forward.

Trench is convinced of Harry’s innocence and continues the investigation on his own time.

When Harry gets the opportunity to escape from jail (he shares a cell with a drunkard and swaps name tags with him) he does so and sets out to clear his name. Trench and Harry almost discover the identity of the killer at the same time – a man called Bardach, who Harry put away years before. Lesley Ann Warren plays Diana

Despite being something of a loner, all of Harry’s friends do rally round even Spencer provides him with a car once he has escaped from Prison.

The sad thing is, as Harry says to Trench at the close of the episode, for all the years of Bardach’s festering hatred of Orwell, Harry can’t even remember him. Just another bad guy he put away when he was on the force.

Farrah Fawcett-Majors makes another of her occasional appearances as Harry’s occasional girlfriend Sue. In fact this marks her most substantial appearance yet. Although better known as Lesley Ann Warren, Lesley was billed as Lesley Warren.
