Period drama The White Falcon was classic 1950’s BBC fare as it told the story of Henry VIII’s romance with Anne Boleyn.

The supporting cast was excellent and included not only a pre-Doctor Who Patrick Troughton as Cardinal Wolsey but also another Dr Who alumni in the shape of Roger Delgado. Maigret actor Rupert Davies and Margaretta Scott who is probably best known for her small recurring role on All Creatures Great And Small also appeared.
