Antiques Road Trip Today Wednesday 21 September 2022 on BBC One
What’s happening on Antiques Road Trip Today Wednesday 21 September on BBC One; Our quick road trip with auctioneers Charles Hanson and Natasha Raskin Sharp is on its second leg. The Derbyshire Dandy and the Glasgow Gal are touring Yorkshire in a 1932 Riley Monaco, so watch out, Yorkshire.
Charles explores a sizable antique and salvage yard in Hartlepool and discovers some treasures on a vintage double-decker bus. A particularly lovely impressionist painting is one of them. In between the plethora of purchases, he makes time to stop in Whitby to learn more about the Victorian author Bram Stoker and why the town served as the perfect setting for him to create the most well-known bloodsucking vampire in the world.
Natasha is on a hunt for authentic antiques while exploring the East Riding of Yorkshire, and among her finds, she manages to unearth some Delft tiles from the 17th century. As a passionate ornithologist, Natasha is able to travel to the coastal haven of Bempton Cliffs to learn more about the centuries-old practise of climming, which involves a daredevil descent down the cliffs to find valuable eggs. She also learns about the man who helped make the practise illegal by fighting for one of the first acts of wildlife conservation in history.
Will Natasha be able to compete with Charles at the auction?
