Planet Earth III, presented by Sir David Attenborough, is set to premiere as the remarkable final series of the Planet Earth trilogy on Channel 9 and 9Now. The show will take viewers on a journey to explore the world’s most magnificent habitats and their incredible animals. This documentary series will feature eight episodes, each focusing on a unique environment, from forests to freshwater habitats, grasslands to deserts.
Filmed over nearly five years, Planet Earth III uses pioneering filmmaking technology to reveal the greatest wonders of life on Earth. Sir David Attenborough stated that the natural world continues to surprise us, but has changed significantly due to human impact. The series will showcase how animals are adapting in extraordinary ways to survive the challenges they face in the modern world.
The show provides insight into the Earth’s remaining pristine wild places and the strategies animals have developed to exist there. With footage from astonishing wild places and rare, spectacular wonders, Planet Earth III promises to reveal breathtaking animal dramas. The series is a BBC Studios Natural History Unit production, co-produced with BBC America, ZDF, and France Télévisions for BBC.
