Clive James, an Australian writer who was living abroad in the 1960s, felt that Paris was his spiritual home. He returns to the city in this programme and meets the authors, models, and actresses who were a part of a different world when he was younger. He also runs into the constant arch-enemy of any visitor: the Paris taxi driver.
