This four-part psychological thriller stars Jo Joyner and Rachel Shenton and is about a woman who, on the surface, appears to have everything she could want. A new friend who is secretly determined to cause chaos, combined with the stresses of modern life, sends her world into a tailspin.

Laura Conroy is the epitome of the “perfect woman” thanks to her doting husband, gorgeous children, and flourishing legal career. Her flawless exterior, however, has flaws, just like everyone else’s. Flaws that the charming stranger Emily Furness is determined to take advantage of.

On the schoolyard, Laura and the lovely new student Emily hit it off and become best friends. Rob, Laura’s husband, frequently works abroad, leaving Laura to juggle returning to work after the birth of their son with caring for their two young children. Emily, the charming and ever-ready rescuer, is Laura’s hero. But not everything is as it seems…

As Emily works to infiltrate Laura’s life and poison it from the inside, Laura follows her without realising the danger she’s in. She has even convinced a reporter to aid her in bringing Laura to justice. To what end, though?

These two women have a secret in common that Laura has tried to keep hidden from everyone. However, no secret can remain hidden indefinitely, and Emily is prepared to pay any price necessary to reveal this one.

Season 1 Episode 1

Laura is a woman who has the perfect family on paper – a loving husband and two beautiful children. But like any family there are cracks in their perfect veneer. Cracks that Emily, a charismatic stranger, is hell bent on exploiting.

We see Laura led down an increasingly dangerous path as Emily nurtures Laura’s neuroses about her ability as a mother, fuels tensions in her marriage and reignites an old flame from Laura’s past. But Laura is hiding something too… and these two women are bound by a shared secret, one they have both tried to keep buried. But nothing stays a secret forever.
