Helena Bonham Carter, an Academy Award-nominated and BAFTA-winning actor renowned for her exceptional talent in films such as The Crown, Enola Holmes 1 and 2, The King’s Speech, and the Harry Potter series, takes on the role of Noele (or Nolly, as she is affectionately known to her friends). Noele Gordon was a true legend during her lifetime, particularly for her portrayal of flame-haired widow Meg Richardson in the iconic soap opera Crossroads. As one of the most recognizable faces in Britain, Nolly reached the pinnacle of fame.

In 1981, at the height of Crossroads’ success and Nolly’s fame, tragedy struck. Without ceremony, warning, or explanation, she was abruptly axed from the show that had been her life for over 18 years. The boss’s words, “all good things must come to an end,” echoed in her ears as she found herself unceremoniously cast out.
