What can we expect from this episode

Nigel Havers invites five more groups of sellers into the Bidding Room, where they’ll try to sell their wares to one of the five dealers present.

Andrea, dressed in a classic piece of Hollywood glitz, is the first to enter. Her lucite plastic clutch from the ’50s is a show-stopper, but which dealers will compete for it?

Lucy then appears with a £15 vintage lamp she purchased online. Can Lucy make a killing at the auction with Simon’s advice on the item’s market value?

Emma then brings out her completely bonkers toy. Since she was two years old, she has had this yellow plastic nodding duck from the 1970s. Now that Emma needs money to take care of her two dogs, will the hypnotic nodding of the duck spark a bidding war?

Jay, armed with a vintage piece of furniture she hopes will spark bidding wars, is the fourth person to enter today’s Bidding Room. There’s no doubt that the Scandinavian design from the 1970s is a collector’s item, but will Jay be able to negotiate her ideal price with the dealers?

Moises, the last one to enter, brings in his tin-plate toy car and garage that he acquired through an online auction. This little 1940s set is charming, but can it fetch a high price at the auction house?

Jon, Sam, Adi, JB, Jo, Ian, Lucy, Estelle, and Lauren are today’s dealers.

Set in an emporium deep in the Yorkshire countryside, a group of expert dealers will attempt to outbid each other to buy extraordinary items brought in by the public.

Nigel Havers welcomes people with an item they’d like to sell, introducing them to a valuation expert who gives them the specialist information they need to drive a hard bargain. Tooled up with this information, Nigel guides the sellers through to the bidding room, where the five eager dealers square up to spend their money.

The competition will be fierce and the sellers will need to haggle get the best possible price for their item before finally shaking hands and doing a deal.
