7Mate’s OUTBACK FARM with The Haighs Will Premiere 22 August
Water drillers Danyelle and Anthony Haigh decide to try their hands at farming in the harsh Australian Outback in new 7Mate series Outback Farmer, which premieres this August.
Starting Anew: The Transition from Water-Drilling to Farming in the Australian Outback
Narrated by Jason Donovan, this six-part documentary series follows Danyelle and Anthony Haigh, a water-drilling couple who decide to settle down with their two sons, Heath and Theo. They decided to abandon water well drilling in favour of farming.
They give up everything and relocate from Queensland to a rundown farm in the middle of the country, located some 3,000 kilometres away. There, temperatures regularly top 40 degrees, and bushfires rage across the landscape.
Danyelle, a city slicker, and Anthony, a country bumpkin, are taking a chance on the desert by starting a hay farm. They’re in deep debt and have only two years to turn things around.
Who is making the series and when can we see the series
Outback Farm is produced by Prospero Productions for 7Mate. The series premieres 22 August.
