Apple TV’s The Morning Show & HBO’s Succession Lead the Field at 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards Television Nominations
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) has announced the TV category nominees for the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards. The winners will be revealed at the Critics Choice Awards gala hosted by Chelsea Handler and broadcast live on The CW on January 14, 2024.
Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show” leads the television contenders with six nominations, including Best Drama Series. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are both nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series, while Billy Crudup, Nicole Beharie, and Karen Pittman earned nominations in the supporting actor and actress categories.
HBO’s “Succession” follows with five nominations, including Best Drama Series. Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong are nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series, while Sarah Snook and Matthew MacFadyen earned nominations in the leading actress and supporting actor categories.
“A Small Light,” “Abbott Elementary,” “Beef,” “Lessons In Chemistry,” “Loki,” “Reservation Dogs,” and “The Bear” all received four nominations each.
Nominations for the film categories will be announced on December 13, 2023.
The 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards will air live on The CW from 7:00 – 10:00 pm ET. The awards are known for accurately predicting Academy Award nominations and are executive-produced by Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment.
The Critics Choice Association is the largest critics organization in the United States and Canada, representing over 600 media critics and entertainment journalists. It was established in 2019 with the merger of the Broadcast Film Critics Association and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association.
