“Battle on the Beach” Returns to HGTV Sunday 4 June

Battle on the Beach, a popular HGTV competition series, will premiere six new episodes on June 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT from popular vacation spot Gulf Shores, Alabama.

What is the new season about

This season, there’s a twist: three teams of aspiring home renovators will work tirelessly to complete weekly renovation challenges across three seaside homes while being coached by celebrated mentors and design experts Taniya Nayak (Build it Forward), Ty Pennington (Rock the Block), and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab). While there are differences between the three homes, they all have two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The teams will compete in a preliminary challenge to decide which of the three houses, the largest by 200 square feet, they will renovate. Taniya, Ty, and Alison will help their teams complete stunning room transformations in just six weeks on a tight budget of $90,000. Expert judges Bryan and Sarah Baeumler (Renovation Island) and a team of local real estate experts will then determine which team adds the most value to their shorefront escape, awarding the winning group $50,000.

What’s in store on the premiere

The transformation of each waterfront home’s kitchen and dining area will be featured in the premiere episode. Taniya, Alison, and Ty will lead their teams through the remainder of the season as they attempt to take over the living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces in the underwhelming beachfront home owned by Ryan and Kelsey Mansingh from Uniontown, Ohio, Ashley Basnight and Steve Lewis from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Ben Argall and Pete Meldrum from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, respectively.
