In the series premiere of Brits Down Under, viewers are introduced to a group of intrepid young British backpackers who venture into the heart of the Australian Outback for a unique and demanding experience. Their mission? Complete 88 days of laborious work to secure an extension to their working holiday visa.

Farmer Grant, alongside his Spanish partner Maeva, has been welcoming wide-eyed young travelers to their farm for over a decade. They provide accommodation and assist backpackers in finding paid work on local farms. Before assigning them roles on nearby properties, Grant assesses their capabilities and suitability for the demanding labor ahead.

Feathers are ruffled when Grant singles out one backpacker for not meeting the farm’s standards. Tensions rise within the group as the individuals navigate their own abilities and limitations in the face of this challenging endeavor.

Half of the backpackers are assigned work on a nearby vineyard, which has suffered significant damage due to recent floods. However, not everyone proves capable of enduring the grueling tasks, and one backpacker faces the unfortunate consequence of being let go.
