In the upcoming Friday 21 June episode of Emmerdale, Cain Dingle finds himself offering unexpected advice to his frightened stepson, Matty, who is struggling behind bars. Matty, accidentally stabbed Samson and is now facing the consequences, as Samson’s friend, Josh, paints a different picture to evade responsibility.
Cain, shocked by Matty’s low spirits, urges him to adopt a “survival of the fittest” mentality and suggests using violence to deal with threats in prison. This advice leaves Matty even more scared and uncertain. Meanwhile, Dawn, the mother of baby Evan, undergoing chemotherapy, struggles with her worries about her child’s health and the challenges of parenting.
However, a heartfelt moment with Rose, who finally steps up as a mother figure, brings about a positive change in Dawn, helping her feel more cheerful and closer to Rose as they bond over a fort-building activity.
