On Wednesday, May 1, former U.S. Representative Patrick J. Kennedy joins ABC’s GMA3 to discuss his latest book, “Profiles in Mental Health Courage.” Kennedy, a leading voice on mental health and addiction, has dedicated his life to improving care, treatment, and public policies surrounding these issues. “Profiles in Mental Health Courage” portrays the journeys of Americans facing mental health challenges, aiming to inspire and empower those struggling with similar issues. The book is co-authored by award-winning journalist Stephen Fried and includes intimate stories of bravery and resilience.

Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans and co-chair and actress Danai Gurira will discuss Global Citizen NOW. Gurira, known for her roles in “The Walking Dead” and “Black Panther,” is a Zimbabwean-American actress and playwright. She has also founded organizations to support arts education in Zimbabwe and raise awareness of the injustices faced by women and girls worldwide. Evans, an internationally renowned humanitarian, is committed to eradicating extreme poverty and has received accolades for his work in promoting youth advocacy and volunteerism.
