HGTV Original Series “Small Town Potential” Set Premiere June 14

In the new HGTV series Small Town Potential, premiering on Wednesday, June 14, at 9PM ET/PT, city dwellers are inspired to seek a different pace of life by the picturesque neighborhoods, idyllic rolling hills, and lush greenery of the Hudson Valley.

What is the new series about

Davina Thomasula, a real estate agent and designer, and Kristin Leitheuser, a contractor and her life partner, will help families looking to settle down in a charming upstate New York town find the perfect house to renovate and call home over the course of the season’s eight episodes. In each episode, Davina will come up with a classic design scheme that works in harmony with the local environment, and Kristin will implement it with the help of her father and building partner, Don.

“The Hudson Valley is full of unique and beautiful towns nestled along the Hudson River,” said Davina. “So many people are moving here, because each town has a lot to offer and so much potential. I’m a real estate agent and designer who finds these upstate newcomers just the house they’re looking for.”

“And I happen to be her better half,” added Kristin. “A builder, working alongside my amazing dad, Don, renovating our clients’ homes to get them ready for their move-in date.”

In the pilot episode, Davina and Kristin assist a couple in Marlboro, New York in their search for and renovation of a farmhouse from the 1800s on a large lot so their young daughter can enjoy outdoor activities. Later, they travel to Kingston, a nearby art community, where they transform a drab attic into a serene artist studio.
