Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

The Emmy(R)-winning HBO Original series “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” has been renewed for an additional three seasons, ensuring its continuation through 2026. Known for its satirical, insightful, and meticulously researched commentary on current events in the U.S. and globally, the show offers John Oliver’s expertly honed perspective on pressing political, social, and cultural issues, as well as lesser-reported topics that both inform and entertain.

Shot in New York, the series promises to deliver its weekly topical insights, signature deep dives, and distinctive comedy pieces, maintaining its commitment to delivering informative and entertaining content.

John Oliver expressed delight in the opportunity to continue creating the show with the fantastic staff, humorously remarking on their dedication to pushing the boundaries of “entertainment.”

With 26 Emmys(R) since its premiere in 2014, including consecutive wins in the categories of Outstanding Variety Talk Series and Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series, “Last Week Tonight” has garnered additional accolades such as Peabody Awards, Critics Choice Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, Writers Guild Awards, and PGA Awards.
