Lifetime has announced an enthralling movie lineup set to debut in January and February, delving into thought-provoking and real-life narratives. The upcoming movies include “Girl in the Video,” “Dying in Plain Sight,” “Confessions of a Cam Girl,” “A Mother’s Intuition,” and “Abducted off the Street: The Carlesha Gaither Story.”
“Girl in the Video,” starring Cush Jumbo and Tia May Watts, explores the harrowing world of catfishing and exploitative videos on the dark web, inspired by real events. The film depicts the courageous efforts of a widowed mother in search of her missing teenager, who has fallen victim to exploitative live streams. The “Girl In” franchise continues with this latest addition, produced by ITN Productions and filmed in Norfolk, England.
Next, “Dying in Plain Sight” sheds light on multigenerational and dangerous eating disorders, portraying the emotional journey of an overweight high school student and her mother, both dealing with dark secrets leading to devastating circumstances.
