“Love During Lockup” Returns April 19th to WE tv

Get ready for a brand-new season of Love During Lockup, the compelling and thought-provoking series that examines into the complexities of finding love behind bars. With eight hour-long episodes premiering on Friday, April 19th @ 9PM ET/8PM CT on WE tv, this addictive show has become a sensation among viewers.

Love During Lockup introduces us to six couples who navigate the challenges of romance within the prison system. Each couple brings their own unique experiences and perspectives to the table, as they search for love and build relationships with inmates. Some individuals are completely consumed by their pursuit of finding love in unconventional circumstances, while others are embarking on this journey for the first time.

The cast includes Tennie & Rob from Yukon, OK. Tennie is a dedicated mother managing her household while her husband Rob serves his 16-year prison sentence. Interestingly enough, Rob has access to a phone from prison which enables him to monitor his family through cameras placed in their home. However, tension arises when Rob’s controlling behavior intensifies.

Ayonna & Jamahl from Lancaster, PA have known each other for years but kept their distance due to Jamahl’s relationship with Ayonna’s best friend. When that relationship ended, Ayonna and Jamahl decided to take their friendship further. However, Jamahl harbors a secret that could jeopardize their budding romance.

Andrew & Candice from Greenwich, NJ met through a prison pen pal site and instantly felt a connection. Andrew goes above and beyond to ensure Candice’s happiness and has even bought her an apartment along with a truck he drove across the country in order to propose upon her release.

Rick & Samantha from Gilbert, AZ were high school sweethearts who unexpectedly reconnected later in life. Samantha is currently incarcerated but Rick didn’t let that stop him from proposing during one of his visits to her in prison.

Joey & Michael reside in Boise ID, where Joey appears to have his life together. However, at 48 years old, he still lives with his parents and his boyfriend Michael is currently serving time for drug-related charges.

Shonta & True from Kansas City, MO have a unique relationship as they have never met in person. Despite this, Shonta has moved her entire family to be closer to True and even said yes to his proposal. She has gone above and beyond financially to make their relationship work.
