Max Announce The Sopranos’ 25th Anniversary Celebration: Exclusive Deleted Footage, Cast Reunion, and Fan Experiences
Max, the streaming platform, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of HBO’s iconic series “The Sopranos” with a range of exciting events and exclusive content. Fans can expect never-before-seen deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes footage, a cast reunion, fan screenings, special menus at renowned restaurants, and more.
Max Celebrates 25th Anniversary of “The Sopranos” with Exclusive Content and Exciting Events
Max, the streaming platform, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the legendary HBO Original series, “The Sopranos,” by offering fans never-before-seen deleted footage and expanded access to behind-the-scenes content. The celebration will also include a cast reunion, fan experiences, and various partnerships.
Zach Enterlin, Executive Vice President, Brand, Content & Creative, Streaming Marketing at HBO and Max, expressed the impact the series had on global entertainment culture and how it defined HBO as a destination for groundbreaking programming.
The 25th anniversary collection of “The Sopranos” on Max includes 15 deleted scenes, with three of them being unreleased. Fans can also enjoy over five hours of behind-the-scenes featurettes. All seasons of the series are currently available to stream on Max.
As part of the celebration, Max will host a private and invitation-only Family Dinner, reuniting the cast in a Sopranos-themed setting. The venue will feature references to the show and a curated menu inspired by it.
Fans can also indulge in a Sopranos-inspired menu at Da Nico, a renowned Italian restaurant in New York City, from January 11 through February 4. The menu will feature dishes like Carmela’s Baked Ziti and Satriale’s Special Caprese.
For one day only, on January 10, fans in New York and Los Angeles can order an official Satriale’s pop-up experience through the delivery app Postmates. The pop-up will offer authentic Sopranos-inspired Italian sandwiches.
Max has partnered with Alamo Drafthouse to host “Family Reunion” fan screenings in New York and Los Angeles on January 10. The screenings will feature the pilot episode of “The Sopranos” and include special guest appearances, trivia sessions, photo opportunities, and swag giveaways.
Fans will have the opportunity to sample episodes of “The Sopranos” through select cable partners’ free on-demand platforms. Additionally, episodes one and two from Season One will be available on Max’s YouTube channel. The official Sopranos TikTok account will also launch, allowing fans to relive each episode in 25 seconds.
To commemorate the anniversary, Robert Iler and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who portrayed Meadow and AJ on the show, will release a special 25th Anniversary edition podcast episode of “Not Today, Pal.” The episode will be available on January 18 on the HBO YouTube channel and major podcast platforms.
The celebration doesn’t end there. The HBO Shop and New York brand Tombolo have partnered to offer special-edition products throughout 2024, allowing fans to own a piece of “The Sopranos” legacy.
