Netflix Announce Limited Series “The Beast in Me” Starring Claire Danes

Claire Danes is set to star in and executive produce Netflix’s upcoming limited series The Beast in Me.

The actor reunites with Homeland showrunner and executive producer Howard Gordon, who collaborates with creator, writer, and executive producer Gabe Rotter on this new thrilling mystery. The Beast in Me marks an intriguing prospect for viewers, as Danes portrays Aggie Wiggs, a reclusive author who becomes obsessed with the enigmatic Nile Sheldon. Sheldon, portrayed by an actor yet to be announced, is a notorious figure in real estate and the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance.

The show’s logline hints at a psychological game of cat and mouse, exploring the dark corners of both leads’ pasts, with Aggie’s pursuit of Sheldon’s secrets mirroring her own inner demons.

Danes, whose career catapulted into the spotlight with My So-Called Life and who later starred in Homeland for eight seasons, brings her formidable talent and nuance to this complex lead role.
