“Ricky Gervais: Armageddon” Premieres December 25 on Netflix
Ricky Gervais, the award-winning comedian, actor, writer, and director, is set to return to Netflix with his stand-up show Armageddon on December 25, 2023. The special, directed by John L. Spencer and produced by Derek Productions, was recorded at the London Palladium earlier this year.
Gervais, known for his successful shows like The Office, Extras, and Afterlife, will tackle provocative topics such as the end of humanity, political correctness, family weddings, funerals, and Artificial Intelligence in his new stand-up special. Gervais believes that the release of Armageddon on Netflix will be remembered for the next 2000 years.
This will be Gervais’ third stand-up special on Netflix, following Humanity in 2018 and SuperNature in 2022. Both of these specials, along with his critically acclaimed series Afterlife, are exclusively available on Netflix. SuperNature even reached the Netflix Top 10 in 13 countries.
Armageddon has been a record-breaking world tour for Gervais, with his biggest show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles entering the Guinness World Records. He has played 85 sell-out arena dates across the globe.
