Roadkill Garage returns with an exciting new episode, “Muscle Truck 4-Link Fabrication!” airing on Motor Trend on May 1, 2024. This instalment focuses on the iconic 1974 Chevy step-side muscle truck, a fan favourite among viewers.

David Freiburger and guest host Dave Chappelle embark on a mission to enhance the legendary muscle truck. With Chappelle’s expertise, they set out to fabricate a new chapter in the truck’s saga by adding a beefy four-link suspension and coilovers, aiming to improve its performance and aesthetics.

The Chevy step-side muscle truck, affectionately known as the “Muscle Truck,” has a rich history within the Roadkill series. It first appeared in 2016, loaded with an LS6 engine, and quickly became one of the most popular project vehicles. Over the years, it has undergone various modifications and appearances, including a mini-makeover for the 2016 Hot Rod Power Tour and off-roading adventures in episode 28.

In this new episode, Freiburger and Chappelle collaborate to address the truck’s suspension and aesthetics. The addition of a four-link suspension and coilovers is expected to provide improved handling, stability, and a smoother ride. The truck’s suspension has been a topic of discussion, with Freiburger acknowledging that he got some of the details wrong in its initial build.
