The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, June 7 Premiere on CBS
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and CBS have exciting news to share with fans of daytime television. THE 51ST ANNUAL DAYTIME EMMY® AWARDS will be broadcast live on Friday, June 7, from 8:00-10:00 PM ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network. Viewers can also stream the event on Paramount+*. This year will mark the impressive 18th time that CBS has aired the Daytime Emmy Awards, making it the network with the most broadcasts of this esteemed ceremony.
Taking place at the iconic Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles, this year’s event promises to be unforgettable. Although details about the Lifetime Achievement honoree, nominations, host, and other important information are yet to be announced, anticipation is already building.
Adam Sharp, president and CEO of NATAS expressed his excitement for this year’s ceremony: “We eagerly anticipate our return in June as we once again partner with CBS to recognize the exceptional and talented individuals who make daytime television great… We’re thrilled to kick off our second half-century of the Daytime Emmys.”
Since its inception in 1974, The Daytime Emmy Awards have celebrated outstanding achievement in various categories within television programming and crafts. From daytime dramas and talk shows to instructional programming and culinary shows, these awards honor excellence across a wide range of genres. In an effort to better reflect content genre rather than program airtime, NATAS joined forces with the Television Academy in 2021 to realign both the Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards.
THE 51ST ANNUAL DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS is a collaborative production between NATAS and Associated Television International (ATI). ATI previously produced Daytime Emmy Awards ceremonies on The CW in 2009 and on CBS in 2010, 2011, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. The executive producers for NATAS are Adam Sharp and Lisa Armstrong, while David McKenzie holds the same role for ATI.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) serves as a crucial service organization within the television industry. Committed to advancing the arts and sciences of television while promoting creative leadership, NATAS recognizes excellence through prestigious awards such as the Emmy Awards for News & Documentary, Sports, Daytime, Children’s & Family programming, and Technology & Engineering.
With over 18,000 broadcast and media professionals represented across its 19 regional chapters nationwide, NATAS provides extensive educational programs that include student television initiatives and scholarships. Moreover, they organize major activities catering to both industry professionals and the viewing public.
