The Fable Series Premiere, April 6, 2024, Hulu
Hulu’s upcoming anime series “The Fable” is set to premiere on Saturday, April 6, 2024. The series is based on the manga of the same name by Katsuhisa Minami and is produced in collaboration with Kodansha, a Japanese publishing powerhouse.
“The Fable” revolves around a legendary hitman, known as Fable, who has completed numerous contracts for a variety of clients. After a string of recent killings, Fable is instructed by his boss to lay low for a year and refrain from killing or harming anyone. This unexpected development forces the notorious assassin to adapt to life as an “ordinary” citizen, navigating the challenges of living among Yakuza members.
The anime adaptation is directed by veteran Ryōsuke Takahashi and features a talented voice cast, including Kazuyuki Okitsu as Fable/Akira Sato, Miyuki Sawashiro as Yoko Sato, Kana Hanazawa as Misaki Shimizu, and Akio Otsuka as Takeshi Ebihara.
The series promises to explore the underworld of assassins and the challenges faced by Fable as he attempts to blend into ordinary life.
