On Saturday, 6 April, Hallmark Channel presents Blind Date Book Club, a romantic tale starring Erin Krakow and Robert Buckley. The film follows the story of a bookstore owner and a famous author, exploring their unexpected connection through literature.
The movie centres on Meg Tompkins (played by Erin Krakow), a bookstore owner in Nantucket who is known for her unique talent in matching others. Meg finds herself at a crossroads, contemplating between taking over her late mother’s bookstore or pursuing a different career path. To bring joy to her customers, Meg creates a “`blind date book club,” where readers pick books wrapped in brown paper, relying only on a few key descriptors.
Enter Graham Sterling (played by Robert Buckley), a bestselling author who visits Meg’s store. Graham is facing challenges with his latest manuscript and seeks Meg’s help after hearing about her innovative book club. Despite her initial reluctance, Meg agrees to include Graham’s novel in the club, and as they spend time together, a close connection develops.
The cast also includes Hilary Jardine, Moheb Jindran, and Lizzy.
