In this episode of Trucking Hell, viewers are taken on a thrilling ride, witnessing the high-stakes challenges faced by recovery operators as they tackle super-sized transport jobs and battle the elements to keep roads across the nation open and safe.

The episode begins with an emergency in Northumberland, where Recovery Operator Kevin is confronted by a daunting task. An eighteen-ton truck has veered off the A1 and rolled over due to strong winds, prompting police to close the road. With a two-hour window to rescue the lorry, Kevin, along with Operations Manager Garry, must devise a strategy to safely upright the vehicle. The challenge is further complicated by the truck’s proximity to a ditch and the high winds, which pose a risk of the lorry toppling again during the recovery process.

Adding to the pressure, the lorry’s cab has collided with its trailer, making it difficult to secure straps for the lift. Kevin and his team, including colleague Lee, utilise their expertise and quick thinking to navigate this complex situation. They employ a set of straps to lift the lorry and carefully coordinate their efforts to successfully haul it back to safety.

Meanwhile, in Lincolnshire, Branno encounters a tricky recovery of his own. A delivery lorry’s wheels become stuck in the muddy gravel driveway of a building site, and Branno must execute a delicate reversing manoeuvre to winch the lorry free without causing further damage.

Elsewhere, Steve is called to a golf course in London, where a truck carrying beer has ground to a halt near the seventeenth fairway. Steve must act swiftly to prevent disruption to the golfers and ensure the truck and its precious cargo are safely back on track.

Bohdan, another recovery operator, finds himself in a potentially dangerous situation on the M25. He receives a call about a lorry with jammed gears, stranded in a live lane of traffic. With vehicles whizzing by, Bohdan must act quickly to prevent a serious accident and safely free the lorry’s gears.

As these incidents unfold, the Trucking Hell team faces the challenges of adverse weather, tricky terrain, and time constraints, all while managing the safety risks associated with super-sized vehicles and their cargo.
