Vintage Top of the Pops on BBC Four Friday 1 March 2024

BBC Four has lined up an evening of vintage Top of the Pops episodes for Friday 1 March 2024. Get ready to step back in time and enjoy four iconic broadcasts from years gone by.

Kicking off at 7.00pm, the first episode takes us back to 21 September 1995. Hosted by Simon Mayo, this edition features a stellar lineup including The Outhere Brothers, Umboza, Janet Jackson, Smokie featuring Roy Chubby Brown, Pulp, Mariah Carey, Erasure, Iron Maiden, and Shaggy. It’s a nostalgic journey into the pop charts of yesteryear.

Following that at 7.30pm is the episode originally aired on 28 September 1995. Wrapping things up at 8:30pm is a blast from the past all the way back to 2 March 1978 . Noel Edmonds hosts this classic episode which boasts an impressive lineup including Darts,Kate Bush,Nick Lowe , Andy Williams, Samantha Sang, Rita Coolidge, Tom Robinson Band, Abba, and Legs & Co get ready for some unforgettable performances that will transport you straight to the late ’70s.
