Period drama Looking For Clancy saw tabloid journalist Frank Clancy look back over his life following the suicide of his best friend Dick Holt.

The pair had grown up together in the East London suburb of Hoxton in the early part of the 20th century – both Clancy and Holt are determined to become Fleet Street journalists. Clancy though is willing to forgo all his principles to reach the top.

Over the course of the five part drama we discover that Clancy’s behavior could well have been the catalyst for Holt’s suicide.

Based on a novel by Frederic Mullally Looking For Clancy offered a strong lead role for Robert Powell.
