Tailor of Gloucester, The (ITV 1989, Thora Hird, Jude Law)

A musical based on Beatrix Potter’s The Tailor of Gloucestor about the tailor who is asked by the Mayor to make a coat for his wedding day. When the tailor falls ill it is left to some industrious mice to come to the rescue.

This production was perfect Christmas fare and featured members of the National Youth Music Theatre; Quiristers from Winchester College; Choristers from Gloucester Cathedral as well as children from the Royal Ballet School.
