Ross has to show a brave face when he attends the christening of Elizabeth and Francis’s child, he is none too impressed though when he overhears gossip.

Wheal Leisure has been re-opened but requires more money when ironstone is hit (it mean the miners will have to blast their way through it).

Meanwhile Ross has offered a cottage (rent free) to Zack’s son Jimmy and his pregnant girl which will enable the couple to get married but things run awry when Jimmy is accused of poaching and has to face tough local magistrate Reverend Halse.

This is the one many original series fans will have been waiting for – an appearance from Robin Ellis, the original Ross Poldark as Reverend Halse. A lovely touch bringing him back. New fans we suspect will be far happier with the scenes of a shirtless Ross scything in the fields.
