The Last Outlaw was a period drama serial telling the story of Ned Kelly, an outlaw, who manages to become a major folk hero before being killed in a shoot out with the police 1880.
The series coincided with the 100th anniversary of Kelly’s death and touched on all the famous points known about Kelly, the Irish-Australian turning to bush ranging after being repressed by the colonial authorities, through to the formation of his gang and the last stand at Glenrowan.
