Bake Off: The Professionals: Episode 3 (S5EP3 Channel 4 Monday 6 June 2022)

The search for this year’s best patisserie team in Britain continues, as Liam Charles and brand-new host Stacey Solomon welcome teams of pastry chefs hailing from establishments in Manchester, Cumbria, Wiltshire, Birmingham and London. As always, they face two days of testing challenges judged by world-class pâtissier experts Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden.

In this episode, Liam and Stacey welcome back the best teams from last week to take on the edible beast that is chocolate week. For expert judges Benoit and Cherish, nothing less than perfection will do.

In their first challenge, the teams must make 24 chocolate cylindrical desserts and 24 desserts celebrating the honeybee. For the showpiece challenge, the teams construct dramatic chocolate showpieces along with 48 chocolate bars, including a moving part, inspired by the theme of ancient mythology, all in just five hours.

Their showpieces must be tall, beautiful and technically precise, but which three teams will soar into the next round?

Twelve professional duos from across the U.K. go head to head in a series of competitive heats judged by celebrated pastry chefs Cherish Finden and Benoit Blin.

In each episode the expert pairs are challenged to two rounds that will test their professional ability and allow them to showcase their creative flair. A new presenting line up of Tom Allen and Liam Charles will offer their own comedic take on events in the professional’s kitchen.
