Channel 9’s Parky! Tribute To Air Sunday 20 August

Channel 9’s 2019 in depth interview with TV legend Michael Parkinson will get another airing this Sunday night following his sad death.

Dickie discusses Parky’s life and times with the legendary Yorkshireman in Bray, on the outskirts of London, where he resides with his wife of 60 years, Mary. Parky is one of the most beloved interviewers in the world.

Parky talks openly and reveals some surprising revelations about his time spent interviewing numerous global superstars, and the result is a fascinating look behind the scenes.

The conversation covers a wide range of topics, from Parky’s upbringing and love of cricket to the art of storytelling and the secret to his long-lasting marriage, as well as highlights from Parkinson’s interviews with some of the biggest showbiz names in the world’s history, including his very first interview in 1965 with a baby-faced Mick Jagger and the four times he spoke to Muhammad Ali.
