What can we expect from this episode
More than a dozen well-known Australians, including actor Craig McLachlan, boxing champion Anthony Mundine, Olympic athletes Stephanie Rice, Peter Bol, and Matthew Mitcham, Balinese princess Lindy Klim, Thai cave rescue hero Dr. Craig Challen, and Brownlow medalist Jason Akermanis, have agreed to undergo a battery of physical and psychological tests modelled after those used by the SAS.
For the first time in SAS Australia history, both men and women will travel abroad to a secret base in the Middle East, where they will eat, sleep, and train together in oppressive heat and aridity, with no regard for their celebrity status or gender.
Stars will be put through rigors physical and mental testing, including prolonged periods of physical exertion, lack of sleep, interrogation, and exposure to dramatic environments. Some people will feel so defeated that they have to run away. Who here has the strength to persevere when things get difficult?

SAS Australia has a mix of celebrities, sportspeople and convicted criminals trying to pass selection. The series sees Aussie celebrities take on a series of physical and psychological tests from the real SAS selection process. This is not a game. There is no winner; there is no prize. These star recruits will eat, sleep and train together in punishing conditions, with no allowances made for their celebrity status or gender. An elite team of ex-Special Forces soldiers will subject them to extreme physical endurance, sleep deprivation, interrogation and psychological testing, pushing the stars beyond their limits every step of the way. Some will break and withdraw. Who has what it takes to tough it out to the end? Completely unscripted. 100% real.
