Were two massive ships destroyed by Nazi U-Boats in the Bermuda Triangle? The crew zeroes in on a well-known case involving the Bermuda Triangle and the disappearance of two enormous cargo ships at the same time. The enormous USS Proteus vanishes after navigating the Bermuda Triangle in November or December 1941. The USS Nereus, a second enormous ship that is almost identical to the first, also disappears from Earth two weeks later, also without warning. Underwater searchers Mike Barnette and Jimmy Gadomski look for the ships that have gone missing, while on land the crew follows clues that take them past Nazi U-boats, tidal waves, and one of their greatest discoveries.

The Bermuda Triangle is the most notorious stretch of ocean in history, evoking fear and endless fascination. Bounded by Florida, Bermuda and Puerto Rico, these waters have swallowed countless ships and planes and their crews—some vanishing without a trace.
