Jeremy Peeters, a teenager with serious family problems, is a world-class hacker. His mother’s business is failing, his father committed suicide over unprofitable investments, and his sister Lily, who discovered his body, has become selectively mute.

Meanwhile, con artist Alidor van Praert is released from prison to find that his team has vanished along with all the stolen money they had stashed. He must start over again. His daughter Ada sees Jeremy as the ideal addition to her dad’s team, so the two of them try to entice him to join. Jeremy’s only driving force is the desire to avenge his family’s misfortune.
