Run for the Sun (UA 1956, Richard Widmark, Jane Greer)
This modern updating of the popular 1932 thriller The Most Dangerous Game, stars Richard Widmark as a famous writer whose Mexican seclusion is interrupted by an investigative journalist (Jane Greer) who tracks him down for an interview. After falling in love the pair also fall into the hands of a pair of war criminals (Trevor Howard and Peter Van Eyck) who decide to hunt them like animals through the steamy inhospitable jungle.
Run for the Sun was the first film released by the Russ-Field Corporation production company, a company formed by actress Jane Russell and her husband at the time, Bob Waterfield.
