Acorn TV’s “The Madame Blanc Mysteries” Returns Monday, February 19
Fans of the crime drama genre can look forward to the return of Acorn TV’s popular series, The Madame Blanc Mysteries. Created by and starring Sally Lindsay, known for her work in Cold Call and Mount Pleasant, the show is set to premiere its third season with a two-episode special on Monday, February 19. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly.
The Madame Blanc Mysteries revolves around Jean White (Lindsay), a respected antiques dealer renowned for her expertise in antiquities. She finds herself at the center of various murder cases and mysteries in the picturesque French village of Sainte Victoire. In this new season, Jean tackles fresh challenges that include solving a deep-sea diving accident and uncovering secrets surrounding a historical duel. Alongside her friend and romantic interest Dom, played by Steve Edge (Starlings, Murder They Hope), she delves into these captivating mysteries.
Returning for this season are familiar faces including Gloria Beaushaw portrayed by Sue Vincent (Mount Pleasant, Shameless), married couple Judith Lloyd James played by Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses) and Jeremy Lloyd James portrayed by Robin Askwith (Strike, Benidorm). Alex Gaumond (Derry Girls, My Dinner With Hervé) reprises his role as Chief of Police André Caron while Tony Robinson (Blackadder) returns as Dom’s mischievous Uncle Patrick.
The Madame Blanc Mysteries is an Acorn TV Original Series created by Sally Lindsay with co-writer Sue Vincent lending her talents to the show. Dermot Boyd takes charge as director while Clapperboard and Saffron Cherry Productions co-produce alongside Acorn Media Enterprises. Acorn Media Enterprises also handles international distribution rights except for the UK and Northern Ireland where it was originally ordered for Channel 5 by Paul Testar.
Jake Rollins produces the series with Mike Benson and Andy Morgan serving as Executive Producers representing Clapperboard. Sally Lindsay and Caroline Roberts-Cherry oversee the show as Executive Producers for Saffron Cherry.
Don’t miss the highly anticipated return of The Madame Blanc Mysteries on Acorn TV starting Monday, February 19. The Christmas Special, which serves as the first episode of Season 3, is already available to stream on Acorn TV.
