In this third and final season of Alex Rider, viewers will witness the thrilling conclusion to the story of a teenage spy, Alex Rider, as he embarks on a personal mission to take down the elusive criminal network, Scorpia. Based on the fifth novel in the series by Anthony Horowitz, this season promises to deliver suspense, action, and intrigue.
Otto Farrant reprises his role as Alex Rider, a London teenager recruited by the Department of Special Operations, a division of MI6. Alex, still struggling with the aftermath of his uncle’s death and his own involvement with MI6, finds himself on a quest to uncover the truth about his father and confront Scorpia, an organisation that has become his greatest enemy.
The season introduces new characters, including Sofia Helin as Julia Rothman, a wealthy widow and high-ranking agent of Scorpia, Shelley Conn as Laura Kellner, a politician challenging the Department of Special Operations, Kevin McNally as Max Grendel, a senior member of Scorpia, and Jason Wong as Nile, a Scorpia assassin. These new additions bring a fresh dynamic to the series and heighten the stakes for Alex and his friends.
Returning cast members include Vicky McClure as Mrs Jones, deputy head of the Department of Special Operations and Alex’s handler, Stephen Dillane as Alan Blunt, head of the department, Brenock O’Connor as Tom Harris, Alex’s best friend, and Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo as Jack Starbright, Alex’s primary carer and legal guardian.
The season is directed by Andreas Prochaska and Christopher Smith, with Guy Burt serving as showrunner. It was filmed in the UK and Malta, capturing a range of stunning locations.
