Beyond The Battlefield Premieres Sat November 11 on HISTORY

The HISTORY® Channel will present a new two-part special titled “Beyond the Battlefield,” airing on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11 at 8pm ET/PT. The program, hosted by Navy veteran Remi Adeleke, offers viewers an extensive examination of the U.S. military and features contributions from executive producer Peyton Manning and professional skateboarder Tony Hawk.

Omaha Productions, which is owned by Manning, and Left/Right are responsible for the production of the special, which delves into the history and modern-day operations of the U.S. Army Special Forces and Marine and Naval Aviation using historical footage and expert commentary.

The narrative begins with Adeleke’s visit to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar near San Diego, where he engages with Manning. The episode provides insights into the daily activities at the air station and traces the evolution of Marine Corps Aviation from World War I. Tony Hawk also participates, revealing his personal connection to military aviation through his father’s experience as a Navy pilot during World War II.

In the subsequent segment, the focus shifts to the Army Special Operations Forces at Fort Liberty, NC. Adeleke undergoes aspects of the demanding training process, giving viewers a glimpse into what candidates endure to join the ranks of highly skilled Green Berets. Interviews with military personnel at the base shed light on the history and current functions of the Special Forces.

The executive production team for “Beyond the Battlefield” includes Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Colin Campbell, and Therese Andrews from Omaha Productions; and Banks Tarver, Ken Druckerman, Anneka Jones, and Divya Chungi from Left/Right. For The HISTORY® Channel, Eli Lehrer and Alex Hicks also perform executive production roles.

A+E Networks handles global distribution rights for the special. Following its airing, “Beyond the Battlefield” will be available for streaming on history.com, The HISTORY Channel app, and video-on-demand platforms provided by multiple television services.
