Oxygen Announces New True-Crime Series ‘Deadly Waters with Captain Lee’
Former ‘Below Deck’ Star Captain Lee Rosbach Returns to TV to Uncover High-Seas Crimes
Oxygen, the NBCUniversal-owned true-crime network, has announced a new series, ‘Deadly Waters with Captain Lee,’ premiering on June 1, 2024. The show will feature Captain Lee Rosbach, formerly of Bravo’s ‘Below Deck’, investigating chilling crimes that took place on the water.
Captain Lee, a fan-favorite from ‘Below Deck,’ is known for his no-nonsense attitude and nautical expertise. In ‘Deadly Waters,’ he will use his maritime skills to unravel shocking homicide investigations on rivers, lakes, and the open sea, exposing the dark secrets of crimes committed at sea.
Each episode of ‘Deadly Waters’ will focus on a different true-crime story, from dream vacations turned deadly to mysterious disappearances and alleged pirates. The show will include interviews with victims’ families, boating experts, and law enforcement, offering new evidence and insights into these unforgettable voyages.
The first episode, titled “Ghost Ship,” will follow the investigation of a Bahamas-bound charter boat found abandoned 140 miles off course, with possible signs of a pirate attack. Other episodes will explore cases such as a woman swept off her boat by a rogue wave in Newport Beach, a missing Florida couple, and a body found floating off the coast of Cape May, New Jersey.
‘Deadly Waters with Captain Lee’ is produced by Critical Content and Renowned, with executive producers including Jenny Daly, Max Welch, and Captain Lee Rosbach himself. The series adds to Oxygen’s lineup of true-crime programming, including ‘Snapped,’ ‘Killer Couples,’ and ‘Three Days to Live.’
