Doctor Who: Jonathan Groff Signs on For Key Role
Jonathan Groff, a theatre and film star, will have a significant role in the upcoming season of Doctor Who.
To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Doctor Who will return in November 2023 with three special episodes starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor. Then, during the holiday season, Ncuti Gatwa’s debut as the 15th Doctor will air.
After being cast as Jessie on Glee, Jonathan became a household name. Since then, he’s become a Hollywood superstar thanks to his performances in films like “Knock at the Cabin” and “Mindhunter,” in which he plays the lead role of Holden Ford. Jonathan is well-known for his voice acting roles in the ‘Frozen’ films and for his starring role as the new Agent Smith in The Matrix Resurrections.
Jonathan is well-known for his work off-Broadway as well, having been nominated for both a Tony and a Primetime Emmy Award for his performance as King George III in the hit musical Hamilton.
And now, in a mysterious and exciting guest role, he’s on his way to join the TARDIS crew.
