Channel 4 has commissioned a new medical documentary series, GPs: Treating Rural Britain, from independent production company Curve Media. The six-part series will air on More4 and will showcase the work of NHS GPs serving remote and rural communities across Britain.
GPs: Treating Rural Britain will offer an intimate portrayal of the lives of these medical professionals, documenting the unique challenges they face and the cases they treat. Filming will take place in some of Britain’s most isolated and striking locations, capturing patient consultations at surgeries, home visits, and emergency call-outs into the community.
The series combines human interest stories with insights into the broader issues facing primary care in rural areas today. It promises to shine a light on the dedication and commitment of these GPs and the invaluable services they provide.
